As a textile, embroidery artist my work often originates from personal experiences of life growing up in the countryside. My main source of inspiration coming from personal family memories and stories. I generate ideas from my life and the changes I go through, and I document these in my work. I enjoy exploring a range of techniques and I.m always seeking for ways to combine these traditional and modern practices into my work-such as hand stitch, screen printing and multi-needle. Frequently my work explores the contrast between texture and technique, while also highlighting the use of intricate, detail oriented embroidery.
